Human chain demands security of minorities in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH, Aug 10: Protest rally and human chain were held in the district under the banner of Sanatan Chhatra Janata (SCJ) on Saturday, demanding ensuring rights and security of minorities.

The human chain and the rally organized by SCJ demanded forming a minority ministry, a minority protection commission, and enacting and implementing strict laws to prevent all kinds of organized attacks against minorities and allocating 10 per cent parliamentary seats to minorities. 

The human chain and the rally were arranged on the side of the Panchagarh-Dhaka highway in front of the central Shaheed Minar at noon. 

Organizers also demanded highest punishment for all the perpetrators involved in torture, vandalism of temples, house attacks, arson, looting and other forms of torture on minorities in different places across the country, compensation of financial damages to minorities and overall safety and security.
