BNP, Jamaat to stand by Hindus against attacks

Leaders of BNP and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islam assured that they would stand by minority communities against attacks by miscreants in different parts of the country.

Rafiqul Alam Majnu, convenor of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP said on Sunday that the resources of the minority communities will be protected by the workers of BNP.

During exchange of views with the traders of minority communities in markets at  Naya Paltan, Manju said, none will be allowed to  attack temples. If any one attacks places of worship of minority communities, they will be brought to book.

"Known quarters are systematically conspiring to makes the historic victory of students questionable. Miscreants are trying to hurt political and religious sentiments by spreading rumours and attacking state assets and places of worship," said Monju.
 
During visit to the Ramakrishna Mission at Gopibagh on Friday, Ishrak Hoson, member of the international committee of BNP, said, "We should respect the expectations of the people and give up our greed and violence. BNP is a peaceful party. I call upon the BNP leaders to bring back peace in the country."

Swami Shantikar Nanda Maharaj, co-editor of Ramakrishna Mission, Rjeev Ahsan of Swachhsevak Dal, Sabbir Ahmed Aref, general secretary of South Swachsevak Dal, Zahir Uddin Tuhin and others were present.

Leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami visited temples in Senbag upazila of Noakhali on Saturday, and discussed with the priests and Hindu religious leaders and assured security to the members of the Hindu community. 

They said that the leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir will stand by the members of the Hindu community so that no terrorist can attack them.
