628 police stations resume operations

As many as 628 police stations resumed across the country out of 639 till on Monday afternoon .

In the metropolitan areas, policing resumed at 108 out of 110 stations, the police headquarters said in the afternoon.

In districts, 520 police stations, among 529, have so far started their operations, it said.

As eleven stations were damaged completely, operations could not be resumed there, the headquarters said, adding that it would take two to three days more to start activities in those stations.

The suspension of police activities followed significant damage caused during the student-led demonstrations that resulted in the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government.
