Kazi Salahuddin not resigning 

Wising to contest in the next election

While many are demanding the resignations of the presidents of the top two sporting boards and federations after the downfall of Sheikh Hasina's regime of 15 years in the country, the two had been keeping silent about the issue for a while. Finally, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president Kazi Salahuddin broke the silence and said that he had no plan to resign. 

The next BFF executive committee election is scheduled to be held on 26 October. The BFF president restated that he was going to contest there for the president post fifth time. 

Salahuddin said, "I will not resign. I will compete in the election again as it is my democratic right to do so. How are you going to keep me from that right?"

Both presidents had been enjoying political backing for a long while. After the Bangladesh student-led protests morph into a mass uprising finally causing the head of the govt to resign and flee the country on 5th August. Following that many of the sports officials who benefited the most during the former government went into hiding or did not talk to the media.
