Vehicles movement suspended due to landslide in Moulvibazar

Vehicle movement on the Komolganj-Sreemangal road has been suspended due to a landslide in Moulvibazar district caused by heavy rains.

The incident occured in Lawachara National Park at Komolganj upazila early Tuesday. 

Sahidul Islam, range officer of Lawachara, confirmed the matter. 

Hundreds of vehicles remained stuck on both sides of the road as a result.
Earlier, around 2:00 AM, a bamboo bush fell onto the road due to landslide caused by excessive rain.  

Traffic movement is expected to return to normal shortly, the officer added.
