Two young men were killed in a road accident in Faridpur's Bhanga on Thursday night.
The accident happened around 8 pm in front of the CCBL oil pump on the Dhaka-Khulna highway at Suadi village under Algi union of the upazila.
The dead were Babu Matbar, 24, son of Jhillu Matbar, a resident of Sulna village under Algi union of the upazila, and Obaidur Mia, 23, son of Moksed Mia, of Chandra village under the same upazila.
According to locals and police, Babu Matbar was returning home from Bhanga Upazila Sadar Bazar along Dhaka-Khulna highway with his two other friends riding on a motorcycle. On the way, an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle in that area. At that time, the two friends died on the spot and another was injured.
Bhanga Highway Police Sub-Inspector Abdullahel Baki confirmed it.
