According to a source from Cumilla EPZ, heavy rainfall and sudden rise of river waters have flooded the EPZ area, with water accumulating up to 4-5 feet in some places.

Several factories including Jing Chang, Eusebio Textile, Golden Chang Suz, Bangladesh Textile, Netway Outdoor have been flooded.
As workers were unable to work on Saturday, the EPZ was immediately closed. After discussions with investors, the decision was made to close the Cumilla EPZ for two days.
