5-day Janmastami progs begin in Ctg tomorrow

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 24: A five-day Janmastami programmes, the holy birth anniversary of Lord Krishna and one of the major religious festivals of the Hindu community, will begin on Monday.

Sree Sree Janmastami Udjapan Parishad Bangladesh (SSJUPB), disclosed this at a press conference held at its head office in city's Rahmatganj area on Saturday.

The SSJUPB leaders highlighted different aspects of the programmes.

They will observe the programmes on limited scale and they will be distributed Taka five lakh to the flood-affected people of the country.

At that time, they raised 10-point demands including the establishment of the Minority Protection Act and the National Minority Commission.    —BSS
