A case has been filed against 4,114 Ansar personnel for illegally staging demonstration in front of the Secretariat and obstructing police to perform their duties.

Mentioning the name of 114 people, Paltan Police Station SI Sazzad Hossain Bhuiyan filed the case on Monday.
So far, 95 Ansars were arrested following the case file. They are likely to be produced before a Dhaka court.

To nationalise their job position, around 10,000 Ansar personnel have cordoned off the Secretariat since Sunday morning, which led to the clash at night.

Despite the government's assurance of fulfilling their demands, the Ansars seated in front of the Secretariat. Several advisers including the Home Adviser remained confined at their offices inside the Secretariat till night. Coordinators Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam also remained confined at the Secretariat.

According to an Ansar source, after meeting with advisers, their coordinator Nasir asked them to withdraw the protest, But defying his request, a group of Ansar members continued their protest in front of the Secretariat till night.

At least 40 students and Army members were injured during the clash.
