Shocheton Banker Somaj organises seminar titled 'Banking Sector Reform: Our Agenda' held at the National Press Club on Monday, says a press release. 

Professor Abu Ahmed, economist and former professor of Dhaka University, was the chief guest and chaired by Dr. Muhammad Abdul Majid, former chairman of the National Board of Revenue, the keynote address was delivered by economist and columnist Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman.
The speakers emphasized the need to overcome legal constraints in the banking sector, eliminate political interference, and prevent board members from interfering in bank operations. 

The banking sector must be kept free from the influence of various business and interest groups.
