Bangladesh Police's additional inspector general of police (IGP) Krishnapada Roy and deputy inspector general (DIG) Md Mozammel Huq have been sent on forced retirement.

Krishnapada Roy was working at the Police Headquarters, while Mozammel Huq as the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) commissioner.
They were sent on forced retirement through two separate notifications on Tuesday (August 27). 

The notifications were signed by Home Ministry's Public Security Division's senior secretary Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen.

Directive was given to make the notifications effective immediately.

The notifications further said both the officials will be entitled to receive retirement allowances and benefits.
