BNP leader snatch away flood relief in Noakhali

A Noakhali BNP leader has snatched away flood relief from students when they went to Kabirhat upazila for distributing them among the flood-affected people.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon at Kalamunshi Bazar under Sundolpur union.
The accused BNP leader is Md Akram, president of Sundolpur union.

Akram and his supporters looted 500 packets of relief from the students when they went to Kalamunshi Bazar on Tuesday afternoon. Getting no other ways, the students informed the matter to police.

With the help of police and Bangladesh Army personnel, the students recovered the reliefs and distributed those to the flood victims.

Students caught a youth named Md Shourav in connection with the incident and, later, handed him over to police.
