Former Navy official killed in Ctg road crash

A retired Navy officer was killed after a bus ran him over in Patenga Katgarh area of ​​Chattogram city on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Nurul Absar, 52, son of Chagir Ahmed, a resident of Patenga Steelmill area in the city.

Eyewitnesses said that Nurul Absar was hit by a bus from behind while he was walking on the side of the road. He died on the spot.

Patenga Police Station officer-in-charge Md Mahfuzur Rahman said that the body was recovered and sent to Chattogram Medical College (CMCH) Hospital morgue for autopsy. 

The bus was seized from the spot, however, its driver manged to flee the scene. Attempts are ongoing to arrest him.
