Banks asked to freeze accounts of Sheikh Selim, his 5 family members

Bank accounts of Awami League presidium member and former member of parliament Sheikh Selim have been frozen.

At the same time, the bank accounts of his five family members including his son former FBCCI president Fazle Fahim have been frozen.
Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) of the Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday (August 28) directed the country's banks and financial institutions to freeze the bank accounts.

All transactions through the personal and business accounts of them will remain suspended. No transactions will be allowed in these accounts over the next 30 days. If necessary, the suspension period of transactions will be extended.
