The second and final clash of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and Pakistan is set to begin today at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Pakistan. The Tigers are leading the series 1-0 and are confident of whitewashing the hosts, while Pakistan are determined to square the series by winning this game.

The match will commence at 11:00 am (BST).

Bangladesh trounced Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first Test after a solid performance with both bat and ball. Alongside Mushfiqur Rahim's brilliant 191, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz also showcased their class with the bat. Mehidy Hasan Miraz's impressive four for 21, supported by Shakib Al Hasan's three for 44 helped Bangladesh outclass the home side.

As a result, there is little chance of changing in the batting order, with Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan likely to open the innings. Among the three pacers-Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana-the latter is likely to be replaced by the experienced quick Taskin Ahmed. Khaled Ahmed's inclusion in place of Hasan Mahmud would also not be surprising.

On the other hand, Pakistan put up an impressive performance with the bat in the first innings, with Mohammad Rizwan, Saud Shakeel and Saim Ayub contributing valuable runs. Pakistan have announced a 12-member squad for this game without making any changes to the batting order. However, the most notable change is the exclusion of senior pacer Shaheen Afridi. The left-arm pacer struggled for form in the first Test, taking only two wickets.

The hosts have brought in Abrar Ahmed and Mir Hamza, with Hamza likely to be Shaheen's replacement for the second Test. Right-arm pacer Mohammad Ali was picked ahead of Mir Hamza for the first Test but Pakistan missed the presence of a specialist spinner in the previous encounter.

The pitch in Rawalpindi is grassy but tends to produce a lot of runs as it becomes more batting-friendly as the match progresses. Pacers may find early swing, while spinners are likely to come into play from the third day onward. Given the nature of the pitch, the toss winner might choose to bowl first.
