Defending champions Bangladesh have been placed in a challenging Group A for the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women's Championship 2024, scheduled to take place in Kathmandu this October.
The group features powerhouse teams India and Pakistan alongside Bangladesh.
Group B, consisting of host Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Bhutan, is considered less competitive.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals on October 27. The first semifinal will feature Group A's champion against Group B's runner-up, and the second semifinal will see Group B's champion face Group A's runner-up. The final is set for October 30.
Bangladesh won the SAFF Women's title in Kathmandu the last time, defeating Nepal 3-1 in the final.
