Prof Karim to perform administrative, financial duties at KU

KHULNA, Sept 4: Senior teacher of Urban and Rural Planning (URP) Discipline of Khulna University (KU) Professor Dr Md Rezaul Karim will temporarily perform emergency administrative and financial duties until the regular Vice-Chancellor (VC) for the KU will be appointed, said a KU press release issued by Gautom Chandra Paul, assistant registrar of Mass Communication and Information Department of KU.

The decision was taken at a meeting unanimously on the campus in presence of Dean and Heads of all Disciplines of KU on Monday. 

On August 29 this year, the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education under the Ministry of Education, sent a notification that the authorities of different universities, educational institutions where VCs or heads resigned, can assign a senior teacher from the university or educational institution to perform administrative and financial duties until the government appoints a new VC or Head.
On the basis of this notification, the KU senior teachers made this decision, the press release added.
