RAJBARI, Sept 4: More than 1,000 primary school teachers of five upazilas in the district formed a human chain in front of Rajbari Press Club in the town on Wednesday, protesting corruption and irregularities of District Primary Education Officer Ohendra Kumar Mandal.

The speakers in the human chain alleged that they demanded of Ohendra Kumar on September 1 last to stop irregularities in different forms. At that time, the education officer agreed, but again started bribery and corruption.

After the human chain, the teachers submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner of Rajbari.

While contacted, District Primary Education Officer Ohendra Kumar Mandal denied all the allegations.
