A total of 122 cases, including 111 for murder cases, have been filed across the country against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina so far.
The cases relate to the incidents that occurred during the mass movement, where clashes between protesters, security forces and political leaders and activists resulted in numerous deaths.
Among the cases, seven were filed recently. Two were filed in the CMM Court, and others in Kadamtali, Jatrabari, Uttara West, and Mohammadpur police stations, of which six cases were filed for murder and one for attempted murder.
Apart from Sheikh Hasina, several prominent figures such as Sajeeb Wazed Joy, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, and former Law Minister Anisul Huq, are also named in these cases. Additionally, high-ranking police officials such as former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun and former DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman are listed as accused.
The allegations claim that from July 15 to August 5, on orders from Sheikh Hasina and others, leaders and activists of Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, and Swechchhasebak League, alongside police, indiscriminately fired on innocent students and citizens, resulting in numerous deaths.
