Arm, bullets seized from Natore Juba League leader's house

Joint forces in a drive recovered a one-shooter gun and two rounds of bullets from the house of local Juba League leader in Natore Sadar upazila early Friday.

However, the Juba League leader was not at home during the drive.

Officer-in-Charge of Natore Sadar police station Shafiqul Islam said the 
joint force, led by Executive Magistrate Saddam Hossain, conducted the drive at the house of Basirul Rahman Khan Ehia Chowdhury, president of Natore district unit Juba Lague, a youth wing of Awami League, in Chowdhury Para of the upazila around 5AM on Friday.

The official said during the drive, the team seized firearm and bullets but Basirul was not found at the house as he has reportedly been absconding since the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government on August 5..
Meanwhile, several cases were filed against Basirul on charges of attacking students during the student movement.
