Minor child drowns in Chandpur

A one-year-old girl drowned in a bucket in a washroom at Haziganj upazila in Chandpur district on Sunday afternoon. 

The incident happened at Nouwhata village under Kalochosouth union in the upazila. 
The deceased was identified as Muntaha Aktar, daughter of Ryad Patwary, a resident of the area.

It was learnt that Muntaha went to the washroom in the absence of family members. While playing with water, she accidentally drowned in the bucket.

Later, family members found her unconscious and took her to a doctor, where she was declared dead. 

A local teacher of primary school confirmed the news of her death.
