22 RMG factories in Ashulia shut indefinitely

The authorities have closed 22 readymade garment factories in Savar's Ashulia for an indefinite period in the face of continuous workers' protest.

The authorities hanged the closure notice from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.

Besides, eight other factories declared holiday in the area as the employees were observing work abstention.
To avert any untoward situation, additional police, army and RAB members have been deployed.

Md Sarwar Alam, superintendent of industrial police-1, said the authorities of 22 factories were closed indefinitely for continuous workers' protest.
