Farmer electrocuted in Chuadanga

A farmer died from electrocution at Damurhuda  upazila in Chuadanga district on Thursday afternoon. 

The incident happened in a field at Noudapara village in the upazila. 

The deceased was identified as Sahar Ali, 40, son of late Nobisoddir, a resident of the area. 

Locals said that Sahar Ali was struck by lightning while grazing cows in the field, leaving him critically injured.

He was rescued and taken to Damurhuda Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Dr. Helena Aktar Nipa, health and family planning officer of the health complex, said that Sahar Ali was brought to the emergency department but was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
