School activities hampered as TCB goods hoarded in classrooms

JALDHAKA, NILPHAMARI, Sept 13: A dealer of the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has hoarded his goods in three class rooms of a government primary school in Jaldhaka Upazila of the district.

Dealer Azizul Islam has turned these classrooms of Jaldhaka Model Government Primary School in the municipality town his godowns.

A recent visit to the school found men of the dealer carrying out packing of goods; classrooms were seen locked; furniture and necessary things were kept aside; and inside they were packing goods.

Academic activities are seriously hampered. 

Acting Head Teacher of the school Jannat Ara Sharmin said, "Dealer told me he has talked with UNO. So I gave him the key. But I did not know, he would keep goods."

Dealer Azizul Islam said, "I have taken written permission from the UNO. So, I have hoarded here."

Upazila Primary Education Officer Sharifa Aktar said, "I was not informed of the matter. I'll take actions."

Upazila Nirbahi Officer GR Sarwar said, "I didn't give the dealer permission. If so, I will take measures after inquiry."
