Farhad sent to jail after remand

Former public administration minister Farhad Hossain sent to jail following four-day remand in a case filed on charge of killing a garment worker at Adabor of Dhaka city in recent mass movement.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ragib Noor passed the order after investigating officer of the case Inspector Abdul Malek of Adabar police station produced the accused before the court after four days of remand and pleaded to keep him in jail.

Earlier, on September 14, Farhad was arrested from Eskaton on Dhaka and produced him before the court the next day. The court put him on four-day remand.

On August 5, garment worker Rubel was shot during a protest rally near Mohammadpur Ring Road area. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where attending doctors declared him dead. 

Rafiqul Islam, father of the victim, filed a case with Adabor police station on August 22 in connection with the murder.
