The International Labour Organization (ILO) will emphasise its message that social justice is key to unlocking the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) throughout its engagement at the upcoming discussions at the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

It will stress that, in this pivotal moment, multilateralism must be relied upon to shape a future of dignity, opportunity, and inclusion.

UNGA will be preceded by the Summit of the Future, taking place on 22 and 23 September, with Action Days on 20 and 21 September.

ILO Director-General, Gilbert F. Houngbo, will participate in the Summit and the subsequent UNGA High-Level Week, from 24 to 30 September, according to an ILO release.

International leaders will gather at the UN Headquarters in New York on 22-23 September to address the critical challenges and gaps in global governance highlighted by recent global shocks.
