Two young people have been stabbed to death at Mohammadpur in the capital.
The deceased were Mohammad Nasir, 30, and Munna, 22.
Nasir was a construction worker and also an Awami League activist, claimed his family.
The incident happened on Friday evening.
Mohammadpur Police Station OC Ali Iftekher Hasan said body of Munna was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue and Nasir to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Nasir's brother Islam said Nasir was an activist of ward no 34 and a resident of near Rayer Bazar Intellectuals Graveyard area. Two groups of people locked into a clash over toll money near Rayer Bazar Intellectuals Graveyard at Mohammadpur when Nasir was crossing the area at about 7:30PM on Friday. Suddenly, some unidentified men, who were involved in the clash, stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him injured critically.
Locals rushed him to a local hospital. Later he was shifted to DMCH where he succombed to his injuries at about 10PM.
Munna was also killed in the same clash, police said.
