Ex-MP George put on two-day fresh remand

Selim Altaf George, Former lawmaker from Kushtia-4 constituency, has been put on a two-day fresh remand in a case filed over killing an auto-rickshaw puller named Md Roni in the capital’s Mohammapur during the mass movement.

Arafatul Rakib, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate, passed the order on Saturday. 
Earlier, Altaf Hossain, investigation officer (IO) of the case, produced George before the court upon completion his three-day remand and prayed for five-day fresh remand.

On September 17, detectives of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested Altaf from Lalmatia in a murder case filed with Mohammadpur Police Station.
