OBOR delegation visits BD to boost infra development, sustainability

A high-profile delegation from Global Confederation of Belt and Road Economic Cooperation (OBOR) arrived in Bangladesh recently with the objective of finding out scope for contributing to the country's infrastructure development and encouraging foreign direct investment (FDI). 

The nine-member delegation is led by Dr. Sharifah Sabrina, Chairperson of OBOR Economic Cooperation for Bangladesh, along with Chris Chan from Singapore and Xu Feng, Secretary General of the Confederation, from China, says a press release. 

The OBOR delegation has expressed keen interest in participating in Bangladesh's energy sector development and smart development of projects that emphasize sustainability. Their vision aligns with creating a cleaner and more environmentally friendly future for Bangladesh.

This visit coincides with global discussions on sustainability at the ongoing UN General Assembly meeting in New York. OBOR's delegation is endorsing the assembly's calls for creative and sustainable solutions to tackle growing environmental challenges. 

By fostering partnerships in energy and sustainable development, OBOR hopes     to support Bangladesh in advancing its long-term goals for a prosperous and green future.

As Bangladesh steps forward on this journey, the OBOR Economic Cooperation expresses its commitment to collaborating with the government to ensure a cleaner and more sustainable future for all citizens.
