The current management of the mobile financial services provider Nagad will be able to run the institution independently according to its decision, according to an official.
Bangladesh Bank spokesperson Husne Ara Shikha said a meeting between the central bank governor and Nagad management board took place on Sunday.
"The governor told the management board to make whatever decision it deems appropriate," she said.
The central bank appointed a new administrator at Nagad on Aug 21 this year.
A month after the appointment, Bangladesh Bank named a five-strong management board at Nagad headed by KAS Murshid, former director general of the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies.    —bdnews24.com
