Tofazzal killing: Hall provost among 15 sued

A case has been filed against 15 people, including Dhaka University's Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall provost Prof Muhammad Masum, over lynching Tofazzal inside the dormitory suspecting him as thief.

As there is another case at Shahbagh Police Station, the investigation procedure of this case will be suspended for the time being. 
Tofazzal's cousin Asma Akter lodged the case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Aktaruzzaman on Wednesday.

On September 18, a man named Tofazzal died after being beat up mercilessly several times by some students at DU's Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall. Tofazzal was beaten suspected as thief.

Earlier, the DU authorities filed a murder case with Shahbagh Police Station in connection with the incident.
