Day 2 of the final Test of two-match series between Bangladesh and India was called off without a single delivery being bowled due to persistent rain in Kanpur on Saturday.

The game was scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM (BST), but heavy rain in the morning delayed the start. The rain briefly stopped around 11:30 AM before resuming at 12:10 PM. Ultimately, the match officials announced the postponement at 2:35 PM (BST).

Unfortunately, the weather forecast predicts a possibility of heavy rain on Day 3 as well, dampening the hopes of cricket fans for further play.

On Day 1, more than two-thirds of the scheduled overs were washed out, with only 35 overs bowled. After being invited to bat first by India, Bangladesh reached 107 runs for the loss of three wickets in their first innings.

Opener Zakir Hasan was dismissed for a duck, while Shadman Islam scored 24 and captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto contributed 31 runs. Mominul Haque remained unbeaten on 40, with Mushfiqur Rahim not out on 6.

Akash Deep claimed two wickets for India, while Ravichandran Ashwin took one.
