2 JU VCs among 214 sued under Explosive Substances Act

A case has been filed against 214 people, including Jahangirnagar University former vice chancellors Prof Nurul Alam and Prof Sharif Enamul.

Sajjadul Islam, a student of English Department at the JU, filed the case with Ashulia Police Station on Sunday night under Explosive Substances Act, OC Abu Bakr Siddique confirmed.

On July 15, BCL attacked protesting students in front of the VC residence. Palintiff among others were then injured critically. The attackers also exploded cocktails and threw petrol bombs to create panic.
