Three unnatural deaths in three districts

Three people died in separate unnatural incidents in three districts - Narayanganj, Brahmanbaria and Bagerhat, in three days.

NARAYANGANJ: A construction worker died after falling from a building in Sadar Upazila of the district on Sunday. The incident took place in Bholail area of Fatulla in the evening.

The deceased was identified as Hasib Mia, son of Abdul Newaz, a resident of Chhoto Surtapur Village under Shibpur Union in Chapainawabganj District. 

It was known that Hasib was working in a 10-storey under construction building of a garments factory of N R Group in Bholail area of Fatulla in the evening. At one stage, he fell from the building accidentally, which left him dead on the spot.

Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy. 

Sub-Inspector of Fatulla Police Station (PS) Nure Alam confirmed the incident, adding that necessary steps would be taken in this regard.  

BRAHMANBARIA: A teenage boy died after falling from the roof of a train at Brahmanbaria Railway Station on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Waliullah Nibir, 18, a resident of the district town.

Railway police sources said that the incident occurred at noon when the Titas commuter train reached Brahmanbaria Station. Nibir was returning home from Dhaka boarded on the train roof. He accidentally fell from there, which left him critically injured. He was then rescued by locals and taken to Brahmanbaria General Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Brahmanbaria Railway Police Camp In-Charge Subrata Biswas confirmed the incident.

BAGERHAT: The guard of a fish enclosure died all of a sudden while doing his duty in Mollahat Upazila of the district on Friday. 
The incident took place in Kenduar Beel of the upazila.

Deceased Narottom Biswas, 50, was the son of Nirupen Biswas of Burir Danga Village under Mongla Upazila in the district.

It was known that he was appointed as the guard of a fish enclosure owned by one Laxman Barman in Kenduar Beel area of Mollahat about three months back. He then started living in a room near the fish enclosure. 

At around 7 am on Friday, Narottom Biswas fell sick all of a sudden when feeding the fishes. Sensing the matter, local people rescued him and took to neighbouring Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex, where on-duty doctor Shimul Hasan declared him dead.

Dr Shimul Hasan said that Narottom Biswas had died before being taken to the hospital. He assumed that Narottom might have died of heart failure as there were no injury marks found the body. 

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Fakirhat Model PS Md Ashraful Alam confirmed the incident, adding that an unnatural death case was filed in this regard and the actual reason behind his death would be taken after getting the autopsy report.
