Two secretaries and dozens of additional secretary and senior officials of the administration have been made officer on special duty (OSD) while two new secretaries have been given posting to the vacancies.
The Public Administra-tion Ministry on Monday issued separate notifications in this regards. The development came only a day after the return of Chief Adviser Prof Dr. Muhammad Yunus, also adviser to the Public Administration Ministry, from the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
According to the notification, Home Ministry's Security Services Division (SSD) Senior Secretary Md. Mashiur Rahman and Social Welfare Ministry Secretary Khairul Alam Shaikh have been made OSD.
Food Ministry's Secretary Md. Ismiel Hossain has been transferred to Social Welfare Ministry as Secretary while Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTA) Chairman Dr. AKM Matiur Rahman, also an additional secretary, has been given posting as secretary to the Shipping Ministry after giving promotion to the rank of secretary.
Shipping Ministry's Additional Secretary Sanjoy Kumar Banik has been made new chairman to the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTA) with the grade-1 status. Department of Printing and Publication (DPP) Director General Md. Yeasin has been transferred to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) as chairman on deputation with grade-1 status.
BRTA Chairman Goutam Chandra Pal, Bangladesh Land Port Authority (BLPA) chairman Zillur Rahman Chowdhury, Environment and Forest Ministry's Additional Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, Road Transport and Highways Division Additional Secretary Jakir Hossain, AKM Shamim Akter and Mahbuber Rahman, Rural Development and Cooperative Division Additional Secretary Ashraf Uddin Ahammad Khan has been made Chairman of the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments Inspector General Abdur Rahim Khan has been made new Director General of the Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA), OSD Additional Secretary Dr Nasim Ahmed has been given posting to the Public Security Division under the Home Ministry as additional secretary.
