Kurigram Puja mandaps get 264.5mt rice

A total of 264.5 metric tons of rice were allocated for the 529 puja mandaps in Kurigram district.

A total of 500 kgs of rice will be provided to each puja mandaps, the district administration sources said.
They said around 20 mandaps will be erected in Bhurungamari Upazila, 78 in Nageshwari, 69 in Fulbari, 73 in Sadar, 134 in Rajarhat, 124 in Ulipur, 23 in Chilmari, 7 in Roimari and 1 in Char Rajibpur Upazila, BSS reports.

Hindu community people are eagerly waiting for their religious festival.

Deputy Commissioner Nusrat Sultana said necessary security measures have been taken on the occasion of puja.
