A quote by Heidie Priebe: "To love someone long term is to attend a thousand funerals of the people they used to be." It's a powerful reminder that this "someone" includes you. Think back on your journey and embrace the many versions of yourself. Remember the 8-year-old who chose play over sleep, the 12-year-old blissfully unaware of life's complexities, and the 18-year-old searching for love in all the wrong places. Reflect on the 22-year-old navigating the delicate balance between passion and practicality, and the 25-year-old feeling torn between the responsibilities of adulthood and a desire to hold on to innocence. Then there's the 30-year-old, still learning, still yearning for a place to feel settled.

You are undergoing countless transformations, each filled with its own challenges and lessons. Accepting these shifts is essential; you are valid, worthy, and deserving of compassion. When you find yourself saying goodbye to a previous version of you, remember to extend the same love and understanding to yourself that you so freely offer to others. Take your time to mourn, reflect, and embrace your growth. Each farewell opens the door to new beginnings and possibilities.
