T-Aman fields growing brightly at Amtali

AMTALI, BARGUNA, Oct 4: Sapling plantation of transplanted Aman (T-Aman) has been completed in Amtali Upazila of the district. Farmers are weaving dream of getting good yielding.

According to sources at the upazila agriculture office-Amtali, the target of T-Aman cultivation has been fixed at 23,381 hectares of land in seven unions and one municipality of the upazila.

Due to heavy rain this year's T-Aman cultivation was delayed. 

BR-22, 23, BRRI-52, 87, local Swarna and high yielding species have been cultivated.

At present, growing T-Aman fields are showing  to farmers a good-yielding prospect .   

A farmer Jalal Ahmed of Sonakhali Village said, sapling planting of T-Aman has been completed.

Farmer Suman Mia of Holdia said, "With blessings from Allah, we completed our sapling planting. We hope to get good yielding."   
Amtali Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Isa said, in different times farmers were provided with training and incentives to inspire them about T-Aman cultivation. 

They were encouraged for using modern technology so they can get higher yielding at less farming cost, he added.
