Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir said on Thursday that madrasa students would actively engage with the 'Model Student Politics' of the party.
He said the JCD vowed to bring qualitative change in student politics in response to the challenges of the 21st century.
Nasir said this at a discussion with students from Sagaradi Islamia Kamil Madrasah and Saheberhat Fazil Degree Madrasa in Barisal on Thursday.
"For the past 16 years, the fascist Awami League has disrupted student politics under the guise of so-called student politics, establishing their fascist rule by suppressing dissenting voices," Nasir said, adding, "Instead of suppressing dissent, we must cultivate an attitude of acceptance. This is essential for student politics."
During his organisational tour, he engaged with students from various schools, colleges, and universities in Barisal, discussing the future of student politics.
He also participated in a tree plantation programme with madrasa students, highlighting discussions on integrating madrasa education into the mainstream and outlining the student party's future plans.
