Elderly woman hacked to death in Munshiganj

A sexagenarian man was hacked to death at Tongibari upazila in Munshiganj district.

The body of the victim Fazilat Begum, 70, wife of Soharab Hossain, was recovered on Sunday morning from a shake along Khalagaon road in the upazila.
According to the victim's family members, Fazilat used to live alone in the shake. On Sunday morning, they discovered the blood-stained body of her inside the shake and informed police.

Tongibari Police Station officer-in-charge Md Muhidul Islam said being informed, they have recovered the body and sent to Munshiganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The victim has several injury marks in her body and abdomen. Legal actions will be taken after completing a thorough investigation, added the OC.
