Ex-home secretary Aminul Islam arrested in Banani

Detectives arrested former senior secretary of the security division of the home ministry Aminul Islam Khan from Banani in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.

DMP's Deputy Commissioner for Media and Public Relations Muhammad Talebur Rahman acknowledging the matter said a team of DB arrested Aminul from the area as several cases were filed against him.

Senior Secretary of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry Aminul Islam Khan had been made senior secretary of the public security division of the home ministry on October 30, 2022. He went on retirement on March 31, 2023.
