A four-member delegation led by Prof Dr Mohamad Bin A Razak, president of Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences, Malaysia called on Dhaka University (DU) vice-chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter's office of the university. Other team members were Prof Dr Nasaruddin Abdul Aziz, dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Asia Metropolitan University, Prof Dr Amaluddin Ahmad, deputy dean of the same university and Dr Mohammad Jahidul Islam, assistant professor of Cyberjaya University College. Principal of Dhaka Medical College and dean of the Faculty of Medicine of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Ismail Khan were present on this occasion. During the meeting they discussed various issues including strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs on medical science being conducted by the University of Dhaka, the Asia Metropolitan University, Malaysia and the Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences, Malaysia.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) among these academic institutions was signed on December 27, 2016 to accelerate the research collaboration. They stressed the need for exchanging of more teachers and students between Dhaka University and Malaysian academic institutions to promote education and research.
