Counrywide ambulance strike called

Ambulance workers in Dhaka has called a countrywide indefinite strike protesting police harassment.

Dhaka Metropolitan Ambulance Cooperative Society called the strike from 12 midnight on Saturday.

Society president M Momin Ali confirmed media about the strike.

He said the strike has been enforced protesting harassment by traffic sergeants and executive magistrates of the BRTA.

Bangladesh Ambulance Owners' Association also extended its solidarity with the strike.
