World film manifestation @ TSC

With huge success the 116th edition of World Film Manifestation Programme has just been rendered. Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS) with collaboration of Iranian Cultural Centre organized the programme at TSC auditorium, University of Dhaka. In the two-day long programme four famous Iranian movies of four renowned film makers were exhibited.
On the first day of the programme at 29th January, Sunday the exhibition started with the screening of Certified Copy (2010) by Abbas Kiarostami. And by the screening of About Elly (2009) by Asghar Farhadi the first day of exhibition ended very well. And on the final day, on January 30, Monday two other great films were screened. They are respectively The Song of Sparrows (2008) by Jafar Panahi and The Circle by Majid Majidi.
To reach different audience Dhaka University Film Society has organized this event in various venues with collaboration of various cultural centres. WFMP started its journey on 25-28 September 2000 at Goethe-Institute Bangladesh.
"It is a great source of entertainment as well as knowledge as it helps us to watch movies in big screen for free. Also they manage to screen various rare classic films of some famous makers around the world which we might not get elsewhere this much easily." shares Prethee Mejbahin, a student from the department of Criminology, University of Dhaka. 
The president of Dhaka University Film Society S M Arif Rayhan Shovon remarks, "To encourage the makers and the viewers for films, we will keep organizing this sort of event regularly and make the film movement a great success."
