EnergyPac to build 3 power sub-stations

Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) has signed a TK 159 Crore contract with local company EnergyPac to install three fresh sub-stations at Rajshahi, Pabna and Rangpur districts to enhance the bulk supply of electricity in these areas to stabilize the system and increase the quality of power.
PGCB's Company Secretary MD Ashraf Hossain and Managing Director of EnergyPac SM Aminul Haque have signed the contract on behalf of their respective companies at PGCB's Head Office on Sunday. Masum AL Beruni, Managing Director of PGCB and Chief Executive Officer of EnergyPac Rabiul Alam and senior officials were present on the occasion.
As per contract it will also implement the extension work of Sirajganj, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Bagherhat and Mongla substations within this package.
"The three 230/132 KV grid line would be installed in Rajshahi town, Vangura under Pabna district nad Mithapukur of Rangpur districts, however, the other five substations would be 132/33 KV capacity and will be at Baghabari of Sirajganj district, Madaripur town, Gopalganj town, Mongla and Bagerhat district," a senior official said.
As per contract, EnergyPac would complete the whole tasks within next two years and the mode of work would be "Turn-Key", the official added.
