The High Court has started reading out verdict on the death reference and appeals in sensational Zubair Ahmed murder case in 2012.
An HC bench of justice Bhabani Prasad Sinha and Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam began reading out the verdict on Wednesday.
Zubair Ahmed, an honours final year student of English of Jahangirnagar University, was stabbed by some activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on January 8, 2012.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Dhaka.
On February 8, 2015, a Dhaka court sentenced five accused to death and six others to life imprisonment in connection with the killing.
Later, the accused filed separate appeals with the HC challenging the lower court verdict.
