Medical student ‘commits’ suicide in Rajshahi

Rajshahi: A female student of Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) reportedly committed suicide at her home at Bohorampur area in the divisional city.

 

The dead Jannatul Wadiah Mitu, 24, was student of BDS 25th batch of RMC. She was daughter of Matiur Rahman, principal of a college.

 

Hafizur Rahman, officer in-charge (OC) of Rajpara police station confirmed the matter.

 

Mitu was living with her parents at Bank Colony in Bohorampur area. Though she was student of 25th Batch of BDS, but due to failure she was doing classes with 26th Batch said one of her classmates.

 

She was seen frustrated most of the time and talked about suicide, her classmate added.

 

The OC said that Mitu’s dead body was found hanging with scarf from a ceiling fan.
