RMCH sues RU teacher

The Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) authorities filed a case against ATM Rajshahi University teacher Anamul Jahir over the assault incident on February 14.

 

Ismail Majumder, acting administrative officer of RMCH, filed the case on behalf of the authorities with Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Rajshahi on Thursday accusing the teacher.

 

Ismail Majumder, confirming the matter, said Anamul Jahir, a teacher of Law department, was the only accused of the case while the court received the case and fixed the Sunday for hearing. Anamul Jahir was charged with misbehaviour, hurling abusive words and beating the intern doctor Mery Priyanka.

 

Earlier on Fepuary 14, an altercation took place between Mery Priyanka, intern doctor of RMCH, and Anamul Jahir while a collision took place between them. Following the incident her friends beat up Anamul Jahir putally after Anamul hurled abusive words to her.

 

Following the incident Bazle Touhid Al Hasan, advocate of Rajshahi CMM court, filed an attempt to murder case against 8 intern doctors including Mery Priyanka earlier on February 20 with the same court. End/
