Rohingya youth found dead in Cox's Bazar; 9 held

Cox's Bazar : Police recovered the body of a Rohingya youth from Kutupalang camp in Ukhia upazila on Friday.

 

Local people spotted the body near E block 3 in the Rohingya camp this morning and informed police.

 

The dead was identified as Abu Taher, 30, son of Abu Hashem, who took shelter in E block 3.

 

Local Rohingyas claimed Taher was beaten to death by robbers.

 

But, police said he was killed in a clash between two groups of Rohingyas..

 

Confirming the incident, Ukhia Polisce Station OC (investigation) Maksudur Rahman said nine Rohingya men were detained for interrogation.
