Tk 25 cr Yaba tablets recovered in St Martin's Island

Bangladesh Coast Guard members recovered five lakh Yaba tablets worth Tk 25 crore from Saint Martin's Island in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday morning.

Faizul Islam Mondal, Commander of Teknaf station Coast Guard, confirmed the matter.
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by the commander conducted a drive near Paschim Para pine wood area of the island and recovered five lakh Yaba tablets. Smugglers were managed to flee the area sensing the presence of Coast Guard members, said the official.

A case is under process in this connection, said Coast Guard source.
